Bien mais la pression est vraiment plus faible que je pensais donc pas pratique pour nettoyer mon vélo au passage.

In my opinion, the BOOSTEADY 12L Camping Shower is the culmination of a few earlier attempts by other companies, with this model being the best, and here is why. Anyone who enjoys the outdoors, camping and backpacking, knows how luxurious being able to have a hot shower is. I have tried the kind of solar shower you hang from a tree, just a simple bag that warms the water in sunlight, and has a simple twist on/off shower head, and those do work, but usually need a kettle of hot water added, to get up to a reasonable temperature. But my 10 litre version weighs 10Kg, obviously, which is fine for carrying in a bucket, but you soon get tired lifting that weight above your head to fasten to a branch. So then I moved on to the camp shower that looks very similar to the BOOSTEADY, but with a manual foot pump to keep the water bag pressurised. Again, that worked fine, even though you do feel like a complete twerp doing a kind of country hoedown dance whilst trying to shower and keep the water pressure up. Attempt three was a portable, rechargeable camp shower pump, from a very well-known outdoor supplies company. This was starting to get close to what I was looking for, good, constant water pressure. But to quote The Architect from The Matrix movie, I was once again frustrated by failure, as the mini rechargeable pump is only recommended for a maximum of 40 degrees centigrade. I wonder why they do not make that obvious until after you buy the unit? I believe that the people at BOOSTEADY have watched these camp showers evolve, and they have now created the ultimate version. As long as the pressure pump remains reliable, I think that BOOSTEADY have made the perfect camp shower. It folds down small enough to make it totally backpack transportable. The pressure pump, which is obviously a cleverly repurposed car tyre inflator, pressurises the water bag, and then maintains a constant water pressure, and the water does not pass through any mechanical pump, so you can get the water heating with sunlight, then raise the temperature with a kettle or two of hot water. The heavy water bag remains on the ground, so no tree branch hernia nonsense, and the water pressure/shower head combination provides a really decent off-grid, wilderness shower. They have even provided a little mesh pocket, to keep the pressure pump and the air hose neat and tidy. As long as the whole unit remains reliable, I believe that BOOSTEADY have finally created the Holy Grail of camp showers.

Very compact, I travel light, and often by kayak to remote locations in Scotland. You have to pay attention to the laws of physics with this purchase and I will explain later. On first use, the shower is very easily filled with a well made wide screw fit cap, the adjustable straps make it easy to throw over a tree or, what I did was to mount it onto 2 telescopic poles with additional clips. The air pump does help the flow, and here is where attention must be paid to how much pressure you can get from a 12 litre water storage bag. Basically in physics the higher the water source is above the point of exit (the shower head) in this case = the greater the flow. 12 litres of water is on 12kg in weight and I tested the shower system with and without the pump and there is an increase in flow when using the pump, especially when you are positioning the shower head around your body. For me personally it's perfect, as I don't want a huge flow of water as that would mean too much wastage and if you wild camp then you'll know just how previous water is. My only complaint is that hosing from the water bag to the shower head is way too long, and at its delivered length the shower would need to be positioned about 14 feet above you in order to maximise the flow. I cut mine to kength using cable cutters and refitted, which Iis very easy, but be prepared.Pros - lightweight / top filling / compresses well / heats water well / good quality constructionCons - shower hose is too longBuy if you like versatility and need a good quality, lightweight alternative to the simple shower bag!
