I needed to replace the bottom bracket on my bicycle, & after some careful research I found I was able to upgrade to this style instead of the basket bearings. Very smooth pedaling. I did some other upgrades while I was at it, but it was all very doable once I got the right tools for the job. And the tools were not overly expensive. For my needs I ended up switching out the chainring for a larger one. Having multiple chainrings seems more like a marketing gimmick than something practical. A single large chainring and several gears on the back wheel is all I need. This kit got my bike working properly again. Very happy with that.

I got this to restore my old rusty bike and it works like a charm. feels really sturdy and looks sleek! The logo is pretty discreet which i like. Not sure if i would trust this for heavy riding such as off-road trail riding but for commuting it is perfect!

I used this crankset to replace the bottom bracket components in my Schwinn Meridian tricycle. The original trike chainring is 38T. Important: The ring nut that secures the axle on the chainring (right) side of the bottom bracket has a left-hand thread. Rotate it clockwise to loosen and remove it. The ring nut for the Bolany sealed bearing axle assembly has a matching left-hand thread. Rotate it counterclockwise to thread it into the chainring (right) side of the bottom bracket. The retaining ring nut on the left side of the bottom bracket has a common right-hand thread. The threaded posts that attach the pedals to the cranks are left-hand thread on the left and right-hand thread on the right.
