So this is basically like an Answerphone as I will explain laterIn the box you get the main phone unit and the handset , you have to plug the handset into the main unitAlso you get the instructions , and a printed card which you can use to stand by the phone at the event you decide to use it at to explain to guests what to do , and you get a charging leadThe phone itself is based on an old style retro phone , and has an internal battery which can be charged with the supplied lead , it also has an internal 8GB memory which means it can store 120 hours of recordingQuality of the phone is ok , but not as good as the original Bakelite phones , also its let down a bit by the central rocker switch in the centre of the dial which is plastic and feels a bit cheapYou will need to read the instructions as most of the functions and settings are all controlled by button presses of the phone's keys and I wont try and explain them all here , but it is quite frustrating and a bit complicated trying to set it up .The idea is that a guest picks up the phone , a voice then tells then to leave a message after the tone and press a button when they have finished ( from what I can see you can record your own message, the default one is a man with an American accent)You can then listen to the messages on the phone by using your pin code or download them to your PC for saving as a memento , and that really is about itThe issue I have is that basically its a very expensive answerphone surely ? And what is wrong with a couple of guest books for guests to write in ? But if this is your thing , then this might be for you ?However I am basing this review on how the product is made and performs and it does that well and is made well , however I have seen similar for less money

This phone audio recorder book was fantastic for our gathering. It was very personal and made many of us emotional as we listened to some of the messages. It was a great way to record heartfelt messages to leave behind for the host. The phone looked like an antique model but was fully digital and even came with a sign. It was a wonderful addition to our event and we will use it again in the future.
