This is a pretty solid, SDI, distribution amplifier with its individual connectors, mounted to the chassis of the all metal enclosure. Mounting the connectors to the enclosure ensures that they don't exert unnecessary force onto the internal circuit board.I've used other brands of SDI distribution amplifiers where there is nothing securing the connector to the enclosure. What that results in is eventually the connector wiggles loose from the internal circuit board because of the pressure applied directly to the solder points on the circuit board.This particular device feels really solid, and seems like it would be a good choice for durable and rugged use because of its physical design. I didn't find any issues with the SDI distribution amplifier functionality, and it was solid, and didn't have any signal dropouts.
