This adjustable stem allowed me to fit my new 31.8mm diameter handlebars to the old forks on the bike I just assembled. The old, steel headset stem was too small for the bars and was beginning to go rusty. This one is much better in every way.This adjustable stem was a straight swap for the original and I reused all the other components. I chose to match the angle of the original stem, but you can adjust it up and down to wherever you want. Once it's tightened up, it's extremely solid. The bars will bend before the headset stem moves.This is a significant upgrade from the one that I had before, and it's slightly lighter too. The stem is very nicely made and looks a lot more expensive than it actually was. It fits the center section of my new bars perfectly, and I'm very happy with the end result.

Great to adjust the handlebars on the bike, mine much more comfortable to ride now as I'm not so bent over, and less weight on my arms. Be careful with the allen keys and make sure they are fully in the bolts as they are a little on the soft side and will round off easily.
