Informazioni su questo articolo

  • Modo semplice per rilevare i movimenti
  • Più veloce dei sensori PIR e consentono un migliore controllo dove si desidera rilevare il movimento
  • Funziona fino a 50,8 cm
  • Ricevitore di uscita transistor a collettore aperto

A infrarossi (IR) Break di Beam Sensors are a simple Way To Detect Motion. they Work by Having AN emettitore Side that Sends Out a Beam of Human-Invisible IR Light, then a Receiver Across the way which is Sensitive to that Same Light. When Something passaporto between the two, and its Not Transparent to IR, then the 'Beam is broken' and the Receiver will let you know.
Comp Ared to PIR sensore, breakbeams are Faster and allow Better Control of Where You Want To Detect The Motion. Comp Ared to Sonar Modules, they RE less costose. However, you do Need both emettitore and Receiver on Opposite sides of the area You Want To monitor.
'This is the 5 mm IR Version. IT WORKS Up to 50 cm/. You can Power It from 3.3 V or 5 V, but 5 V will get you Better Range and is what we suggest. The Receiver is OPEN Collector transistor output which means that you do Need a Pull Up Resistor IF YOU Want To Read a Digital Signal Off The Signal wire. Most microcontrollers Have The Ability to turn on a Built in Pull Up resistenza. If you do not, Connect a 10 K Resistor between the White Wire of the Receiver and the red Wire. If you want to control a Relay or LED or Whatever, IT can Sink Up to 100 ma to ground

We also Carry a 3 mm Version that Works for Slightly shorter distanze.

Ours worked to about 30", but with less tolerance for misalignment at that distance.

My cat can now jump up to the bathroom sink, blocking the ir beam to trigger her own water fountain. She also likes BBQ and wild fish. Not spoiled at all.

Handy matched pair I used with Arduino to sense candy delivery in auto dispenser.

Installed the pair 35cm apart with separate 5V supply and 10k resistor for the pull-up on the control line. Signal is read with an Arduino Uno.But the behaviour is intermittent. Bought another pair, same thing. With nothing blocking the beam it produced a HIGH output as it should, then LOW when blocked. But over a few minutes with nothing blocking it, it would go LOW and stay there for a while then start working normally again. Seemingly it works, or doesn't, randomly.I stripped out all the wiring so it goes direct to the bread board now, tried it with a physical 10k pull-up and then with a software configured pull-up on the Arduino input. Same story. At one point, waving my hand **behind** the transmitter in a certain place would reliably send the signal LOW (blocked). For some reason I had assumed this was using pulsed IR e.g. at 38 kHz. If it is then it's just a bit useless. If it's not then maybe I'm just getting ambient IR interference. Either way I can't use it.

I used the emiting component to repair a Samsung Frenchdoor refrigerator's icemaker. Samsung does not sell this part separately so hey want tou to buy the whole auger. A little bit of research pointed me to this product and the fixing cost was 1/10th of the whole auger element. It's been 2 months since I repaired it and it's still running fine!
