No, this Lena is not perfect, it is soft and has imperfections. But still great to play around, great unique looking shots and for that value… amazing

This lens has a great image quality and a great character.It's on the bigger side, and may possibly require tuning, when you first get it. I wasn't a big fan of the tuning process, to be honest. But I can see how it won't be an issue for most people, it takes just 15 minutes. On the up-side, should your rangefinder go out of tune, you can simply adjust the lens and avoid parting with your rangefinder for a long trip to Leica and the associated expense. You then have a choice to send your camera to Leica at a more convenient time of your choosing, if at all.At first I wanted to return the lens because of it's size. But then I looked at the pictures I took with it, and the rendition is simply beautiful. Like with many things in life, sometimes you fall in love at the first site (but the relationship may not last), other times you begin to appreciate the beauty gradually. For me with this lens, it was the latter. I fell in love, and now I use it exclusively. A lot of thought was put into this product. One can tell, the people who designed this lens, care a lot about photography. They definitely care about it more than they care about making a ton of money. With the quality of images this lens produces, I am certain 7Artisans can charge several times more, and I would still buy it, now that I have experienced this lens.So I ended up keeping the lens, and now it's my favorite. I was so impressed with this lens, I bought pretty much all of their lenses for the M-system (35, 50, 28) and use them on my Leica 8, 9 and 240. All of their lenses are amazing. The entire collection costed me around $1,000, which is, simply put, unbelievably affordable in the Leica world.Forget about the price (it's obviously is great). What's important is the special, very lovely image quality. At this price, and with the Amazon's return policy, you owe it to yourself to try this lens.
