These bamboo canes are all one-size and thickness and are exactly what I ordered.Useful as stakes for indoor plants such as orchids they can also be used outdoors with young tomato plants and other tender plants. As the plants grow, they will need to be staked to taller, thicker canes. These are fairly hardy and robust plus they are slim enough to be used for craft projects. Here, I have used these as 'stalks' for inflatable daisy balloons.

….. I’m really impressed by these. I’ve used them to create a Support frame for my dwarf raspberries in a planter. I normally buy those thin flimsy green “sticks” you get from the garden Center but they typically only last a year. These are made from bamboo BUT (to my surprise) are NOT bamboo canes. They seem to be made from the outer wall of the bamboo (you can see the ‘grain’ running down the sticks). As such they’re quite sturdy and, hopefully, more resilient to the great British weather! I hope these will last several years and I’m pleased with the sturdy support they’ve created (see photos).
