I’ve never owned a bike with a pannier before, but I’ve upgraded to an electric version and this one does. The reason I mention it is that I don’t have experience of any other pannier bags to compare to this one. So it might not just be this bag that appears strange to me, it might be all of them.In essence it’s an open ended sack that can be closed by tightening the various buckles/straps till it’s secure. There’s one set placed centrally that is used to hold the widest part of the bag closed. No problem so far. Then at each corner of the widest part there are male and female buckle parts. The straps attached to them aren’t adjustable. If this strap is done up then the wide part of the bag becomes scrunched up. The last buckle has a vertical male piece on one side and a vertical female piece on the other. These two pieces can’t be designed to fit together. They aren’t long enough. The handle to use the bag as a carry by your side bag is straightforward, as are the straps to convert it into a backpack.This pannier bag is well made, its waterproof in its own right before being encased it it’s provided yellow jacket. All the seams have extra pieces sewn into the inside to stop the ingress of rain.Although I like this bag for the way it’s constructed and its versatility it would benefit from a set of instructions being included. There aren’t many options for the way the buckles fasten so one of them I tried must be right. But whichever way I try them nothing seems quite right. A pictorial diagram of what goes where would remove all the guesswork. Finally, why doesn’t the wide end have a zip or some form of fastening?

ProsVery Clever Design, Great 3 in 1 Bag :-1. Pannier Bag2. Shoulder Bag ( with only 1 Strap Fitted )3. Backpack ( with 2 Straps Fitted )Made from Polyester coated in PU Rubber .I Tested the Rain Cover ( in Yellow ) under a Running Tap for 1 minute and all was Good.3 Sides of the Bag have Silver Reflective parts to them , which is useful Safety Feature for Night Time Riding.I Really like the way the Pannier Hooks are Hidden from View in a Zipped up Pocket and Stops the Hooks catching on your Clothes.This "3 in 1 Design" is Good for People in the City who need to Cycle to Work and then remove the Pannier and take the Bag into the Office , as a Shoulder Bag or Backpack .ConsAt Just Over the Cost of 6 pints of Lager in the Pub ( including the 20% Voucher on it ) , I think this "3 in 1 Pannier Bag" is OK Value for Money, But any more would be Too Much.
