The irony of the pictures showing red wine bottles being chilled :)Anyway, these are an effective way of cooling down white or rose bottles. I like the fact they are low profile and use velcro, so they will fit any bottle size.We used them by wrapping the bottles and then placing them in a cooler. They kept the wine chilled for a whole day.A very effective product.

With spring already here and summer fast approaching, these chiller sleeves provide a convenient and very flexible option for chilling bottles of drink, and not just wine! Simply pop a sleeve in the freezer and then it's ready for whenever it's needed, without the hassle of having to make and wate for ice cubes to freeze, and then having to put them in a container/wine bucket in which to chill your bottle of drink. It's also much easier for carrying around a chilled bottle for picnics in the garden and far less messy!Be aware that this fits most wine bottles but won't, for example, fit around a 2 litre bottle of fizzy drinks.They're also pretty good if you need a cold compress in a hurry instead of having to get out a bag of frozen veg!

Being life-long white wine drinkers my wife and I know that trying to cool down a bottle of supermarket shelf temperature wine in a glass bottle is not going to be a quick job with cold wine sleeves. There is far too much liquid to cool down given the glass has to cool first.The correct way is to keep the wine in the fridge until the last moment, then wrap a sleeve from the freezer around it to keep the wine as cool as possible.These two sleeves are good value for money at the £9 current price, and it means you can either keep two bottles cool or bring out the second wrap later when the first has lost its cool.One star off for being a bit thin and I'm not fond of the hospital corridor colour.
