I bought this as the old similar one had broken after several years. This is even better than the last one with an array of choices for my cat which has re-ignited her play/hunt instinct. I am always careful to ensure she is safe, and with the laser light the moving head on this helps as it doesn't stop moving. Follow the safety instructions given and sit and watch your cat enjoy bouncing around and rolling about. It holds its charge longer so lasts for the short bursts of use and you can change the action easily by the button on its head. She happily lays down when she's had enough, trots of to eat and then curls up on my knee for a sleep and some snuggle time. She gets quite pushy when she wants to play with it again, so far she's a much happier pet.

INCREDIBLE! i have dropped this a countless amount of times but it is so durable and works so perfect. as our household is always busy at work or school, our cat never got the chance to play with us for more than 20 mins a day. after getting this im so pleased with so often she’s running, this is genuinely such a good product and im SO happy my cat is finally getting the playtime and fitness she needs. its so convenient to just put on when you have work to do! so worth the money buy it buy it buy it!!!!!!

My cats are fans of laser pointers, and this toy allows them to play when I'm away and don't have time. I love it! The battery has a reasonable lifespan and recharging is easy (plugs in like a cell phone). The only problem, the motion detector seems to have difficulty sometimes and I have to close it and start it again and after that it works.

I bought this for my cat who loves playing with lasers. She runs over to you if you jingle the keychain on the laser pointer, and she has learned the sound associated with this toy being turned on (it makes a low vibration when on, and a quiet high-pitched whine while charging). The laser itself is pretty good, but recently it has started to fade away when at a certain angle. I think that has to do with how often the cat knocks it off the shelf though, and it still is bright enough for her to play with it. The path of the laser is the same but it does sort of "bounce" along the path, which helps to get the cat's predatory instincts going. The two modes are also neat, the main difference being speed; on the regular mode, my cat will mostly just lay nearby and watch the laser, then she'll pounce on it after a while; in active mode, the laser moves much faster and the cat will actively chase it.The automation of the device is quite useful but also unreliable (I think this is once again due to the device being knocked over many times). It will turn on if something within its detection area moves two hours after it turns off; this includes humans, other pets, and doors. It'll turn off 15 minutes after being activated, but you can always turn it back on manually. Important to note, though, is there is zero indication of a dead battery if you leave the toy in the auto mode; it will only flash red if you try to turn it on manually. If you are considering this toy to the one that turns on and off based on the presence of a cat instead of a timer system, I would suggest to get the other one, since it is most likely better constructed and you could easily know if it were dead. But if you just want a cheap automatic cat laser, then definitely get this. It's worth the cheap price and it has so far lasted a few weeks.

I'Ve had these types of laser toys for my cat since she was a baby and she's 4 years now and she loves them. Actually she adores them. When they run out of batteries or die down, she meows really loud so I come to the rescue and change the batteries. But when the toy needs charging just like this one does, she just follows it to the charging station and will wait for almost the whole charging period and meows wondering if her friend is OK...The old one died down. I mean the turning laser thing just jammed and wouldn't turn no more, probably filled with dust or something like that. It had been working for almost 3 yearsTo tell the truth, this one makes a weird noise when the laser thing turns around. I'm pretty certain it's nothing but I'm keeping an eye on it.The shape is very cute and after just a few hours of playing with it, my cat already recognizes it and follow it around when I bring it to the charging station.I love that this one turns on automatically every time something or someone passes in front of it and will stop automatically after 15 min. But that will empty the charge really fast. Doesn't stay charged for more than 2-2.5 hours. Though I must admit my cat is always in front of it.And take at least 2- 3 ours to charge.Other than that it looks like a real fun toy for cats. But one question remains, what can keep a cat excited to play the same game over and over and over again.I mean it's the same darn laser going around.Ah! these cats will always remain a mystery to me.
