Fantastic book just like giraffes cant dance. Kiddo loves em both. Beautifully illustrated. You can use the words baby can comprehend to keep his/her attention on d story. Even when I’m not reading d story he loves just flipping the pages and keeps looking at the lovely pictures.

Love love love this book. Such a nice message, and the pictures are bright and contrasting. There are a couple words I change when I read it to my 2 yr old ("you saved us when we thought we were dead" to "you saved us when we thought we were gone", etc.), and the rhyme on one of the last pages is a little weak, but these are very minor complaints. We read this book together nearly every night. He is a great author (we also love Giraffes Can't Dance), and the illustrator has a very unique and eye-catching style.

A very beautiful book, full of good emotions. I can't say anything else then "Wonderful". Your child will love it.

Well done.

This is a really sweet book. Leo doesn't want to hunt his prey, he wants to be their friends. As he is outcast from his pride, he stays true to his inner self. He makes many friends along the way! This book really encourages not always going with the flow and being a true friend and peace maker. His pride comes around to seeing that he truly is a king. Great little story for instilling sweet values and confidence in young ones.

Mt daughters favourite book is and this book was shown on the back cover, and she wanted it. It has not disappointed. This is the story of a baby lion cub called Leo who does not want to kill animals, instead to love them for what they are. He is banished from the pride because of this. He sees 2 baby animals that the cheetahs are going to eat, and he rescues them by leading them to safety. He then nurses them back to heath. His mission is then to help any animal that needs help, no matter what they are. One day when helping an animal being swept down the river, he saves the animal from drowning but cant get out and is swept downstream to the waterfall. All the animals in the jungle come together to help Leo and pull him out the river. His family take him back because they realise that by helping others, he is a stronger lion.A great story that is well written and beautifully drawn. This also has a great moral in that to be different and help people, and you will be rewarded by feeling good in yourself.
