Good replacement from the Rt 800, not sure yet whether it's worth the extra for the 900 but doubt it.Delivered really quickly but more expensive than what's available on line, I wanted to use a Christmas voucher!
Gasp!

Beste Shimano-Scheibe! Endlich Ruhe, kein Geräusch mehr nach abbremsen an Pässen. Dazu sieht sie deutlich schöner aus als die alte IceTech. Gibt es auch in 180 und 203 mm fürs Mountainbike.

The Shimano RT-CL800 (IRTCL800SI) is a disc brake rotor designed for high-performance cycling applications. This review analyzes its features and compares it to the higher-end RT-CL900 model.Core Functionality:Consistent Braking: The RT-CL800 employs a design that promotes consistent braking performance, crucial for maintaining control during demanding rides.Key Feature:Internal Serration Locking Ring: This rotor utilizes an internal serration locking ring for a secure attachment to the hub, a common feature among high-quality disc brakes. (Centerlock).Presumed Difference from RT-CL900:Heat Dissipation Paint: The primary distinction between the RT-CL800 and the RT-CL900 appears to be the absence of a specific paint on the RT-CL800. This paint, potentially a heat-dissipating coating, might be present in the RT-CL900 model for enhanced thermal management.Considerations:Limited Information: Without official confirmation from Shimano regarding the exact function of the missing paint, it's difficult to definitively assess the performance difference between the two rotors.Possible Scenarios:Negligible Impact: The missing paint might have a minimal effect on braking performance, with the RT-CL800 remaining suitable for most riders.Performance Compromise: If the paint plays a significant role in heat dissipation, the RT-CL800 might be less effective in extremely demanding situations where heat buildup is a major concern. Conclusion:The Shimano RT-CL800 disc brake rotor offers consistent braking and a secure locking ring design. Riders seeking a cost-effective option for everyday riding or those who prioritize other braking qualities may find the RT-CL800 a viable choice. However, cyclists who frequently encounter high-heat braking scenarios, such as extended downhill riding, might benefit from the potentially superior thermal management offered by the RT-CL900, assuming the missing paint indeed signifies a heat-dissipating coating. For a more definitive evaluation, further investigation into the specific properties of the missing paint and its impact on thermal performance is recommended. Consulting Shimano's official documentation or contacting customer support might provide additional insights.
