I bolted a 40” piece of 11/2 butcher block to it and it works perfectly

My issue with sit stand desks in general is that most of the ones you buy are typically very cheaply made. They are usually just one motor, the frame is thin steel, and then they also cheap out on the materials for the top of the desk itself (and the desk top is typically shipped to you in multiple pieces of cheap particle board so it isn't even a solid top). This was definitely the case for the one my wife bought a few years back. It works, but after only a few years of minimal use, the motor is starting to make terrible sounds, the pieces of the top are separating, and it has been pretty wobbly and unstable since we put it together.This particular product throws out the idea of shipping with a top and instead focuses on the frame itself. In this regard, it's a quality product. The dual motors are super quiet even compared to the very expensive one I have at my workplace, and it is very sturdy. I really have no doubts at all that this is a superior product to the one we put together for my wife.I ended up just putting my existing desk top onto this: it's just a laminated particle board slab that we got with a full desk setup 20+ years ago. I just basically removed the top from the rest of the desk and screwed it onto this frame and it is perfection.Assembly of the frame itself is very simple and instructions are clear, though I would like to offer a tip: the cable length for the controller is a tad on the short side. Decide which side of the desk you want to mount it BEFORE you attach anything to the top: you will want to mount the power supply to that side of the desk (I mounted mine on the opposite side and the cable wouldn't reach to the opposite end where I wanted it to go). I had to take it all apart again and move it. Not a huge deal, but maybe that saves someone else the trouble.Once assembled, it is plenty sturdy even up in the standing position. I am pumped to be able to work from home standing up again when I feel like it. This is an excellent product!

Low quality material. Makes the desk cave

Cheapest dual motor frame on Amazon so can’t beat that. Easy to assemble if you take your time and read the instructions. Since it’s dual motor there’s no adjustment rid to mess with. As someone mentioned m10 caster wheels, make sure the stud is 15mm or less I got 25mm long wheels and had to cut the bolts in half. Ordered two more for the rest of my projects. Pleased.

Was packed well. Went together easily and operates really smooth. Great purchase! The base will accept caster wheels if you need extra height or mobility for the desk. They are M10 threaded bolts not the more standard M8s.
