Sorry for the punn. Bought for a friend and installed by me (a retired carpenter) easy to fit by any one with an electric drill. I n some cases where fixing is a problem it might be better to fix a batten to the wall first.The natural wood finnish will be ok for allmost any colour scheme

Solid wood but has a slightly cheap feel to it. The ends have a bigger hole than the size of the pole but it doesnt show once up high and covered in curtain. The curtain rings are plastic but wood look. Does the job and looks decent.
