It works well but won't attach to an acoustic guitar at all, really its only useful for the one type of instrument. It pairs well though so it would be good but it's not as muti purpose as It should be.

This YUMIR Wireless Instrument set arrives in a card wrapped inner black box, containing the microphone transmitter unit, microphone attachment, USB to 2 x USB C splitter lead, microphone clip, a 1/8” to ¼” Mono Converter plug, hanging hook (to attach to microphone assembly), fixing clip, strap for further fixing, and a small instruction book. The instruction book is fairly sparse, basically covers how to charge and wirelessly connect the transmitter to the microphone, with some assembly instructions. What is missing is how attach the microphone to the various instruments this is advertised for.First thing to do is to get both transmitter and microphone units charged up, and this can be simultaneously achieved via the USB splitter lead. No charger is provided, but most households nowadays will have this already.Build quality is overall okay Chinese quality, fair but not exceptional.Once charged the transmitting unit fits via the 1/8” (or ¼” if adapter used) jack plug. Note this is a Mono jack, so sound recorded/transmitted will one channel mono. If connected to a stereo socket, sound will likely only appear on one channel (left) – if this is an issued, a mono to stereo jack converter (not included) can be used. The wireless connection worked fairly well, but sound quality itself though appears to be free of transmission noise artifacts, was not of particularly good quality. Tried on a computer and standalone recorder, the microphone appeared to need to be set to maximum on computer to produce useful recording volume at default (50%). This can be adjusted by the +/- Buttons on the microphone unit.Ergonomics of button layout were not great, some are push button, others such as On/Off is the same shape button but with a sliding toggle function.Musical instrument wise I play the piano, but prefer a separate stereo microphone located roughly a metre away – this unit would unduly emphasis a narrow range of piano keys, depending on where located. Also play the acoustic guitar (pure beginner level), but this has a built-in microphone of better quality than this microphone. It is a puzzle how to attach this unit to various instruments (i.e. trumpet, violin, accordion etc.), and being a bit of an audio buff, a good quality electret wire connected microphone on a microphone stand I feel would do a better job. This microphone does not appear to be up to the job of anything like professional use, but to be fair this is commensurate with price (£34.64 at time of review).Difficult to fully recommend this wireless microphone set by YUMIR. The range of instruments it can be used on appears limited and fixing units supplied are not the most stable, not helped by lack of instructions in this regard. However, as a wireless microphone worked okay for the price and may be useful for budding amateur musician use as a means of recording their practise sessions.

Was looking for a sound pick up for guitar and tried this device out. Not recommend, the quality of sound is not good enough for that case, despite the description. Otherwise it works just fine, I think it is okay for announcements as hands-free loudspeaker, etc; not music though.
