NOT a puller, this is a pneumatic punch. There is a piston at the end of the nose barrel. When the trigger is pulled, this shoots the steel piston inside the barrel all the way to and past the end of the nose. It then retracts by the internal spring ready for the next action. In effect, this "PUNCH" will only extract nails if you can reach the sharp end where it exits the wood. This being the case, you can slide the barrel over the protruding sharp end of the nail, pull the trigger and it will punch the nail back out of the entry side of the wood.If the wood is thin, and you don't mind damaging it, you can punch through the entry side, even if the head is flush. This will have the effect of allowing the piston to punch a hole through the wood and at the same time force the nail to be shot through. It's a powerful device with huge rapport. IT damages wood and absolutely needs a regulator to reduce the power of the piston. Great of you don't mind the hole it leaves behind, or you're happy to regulate your air compressor. Mine runs at 120psi which is a bit above the recommended 8KGF/CM2I tested this out on some gash pieces of wood and you will see the kind of hole it punches. This device needs to be handles with care and Will shoot nails from the barrel like a bullet. The piston will also shoot further than the barrel nose, if there is no load. Just be aware. A great tool in the right hands.

Have it running on 6 bar on a 10 meter hose ..Below recommended pressure and a longer hose then recommend..and it works fine , I will be upgrading my compressor as it doesn't drive all the nails through especially if it's hard wood..But yea z no more hammering a stupid punch to remove nails

This isn’t quite what I was expecting. It doesn’t pull the nails out, it pushes them out the other end.Good if you want to break pallets down, but not sure what else you’d use this for. 🤷🏼♀️

I like to strip down old pallets for their wood to make projects out of. The worst part of the job is always removing the nails, and often takes more of the time than anything else. Now using this tool each nail takes seconds. As long as the nail is straight, it comes right out. It comes out with a lot of force though, so you definitely want something underneath that the nail can drop into. Eye protection is definitely a good idea too as the nails can fly all over the place if you're unlucky.

If you break a lot of pallets down for reuse and get tired/fed up removing dozens of nails by hand using hammers and pry bars then this is worth it's weight in gold, I first saw them being used on YouTube when I looked for easier ways to break down pallets and immediately wanted to try one.The basic principle of this tool is the hollow end goes over the nails pointy end and when you press the trigger a piston is forced at high speed using compressed air down the tube ramming the nail out of the wood in a fraction of a second and depending how much air your compressor holds you can punch out hundreds of nails in minutes rather than hours with manual handling tools. You end up with a small indentation around where the nail used to be but it's minimal and importantly keeps the wood intact, keep in mind the nail is usually ejected at speed from the wood so it's best to use this over some sort of container to catch them otherwise you end up with nails everywhere! Once you get the hang of it it's actually pretty enjoyable punching out nails with ease and speed and you'll wonder how you ever managed before without it, the time saving is amazing and worth every penny in my opinion, I can't recommend these enough for sheer reduction in effort and time saved from the manual way of removing nails. This particular model feels chunky and well made with a decent piston action and after adding some PTFE tape to the connector didn't lose much air in use, reasonable price and hopefully it lasts a while so I'll update as necessary.Bottom line is if you own a compressor and break down pallets often then buy one of these, you will not regret it!
