These are my thoughts as an amateur photographer, gets the job done and works for me. Love it! Would definitely recommend purchasing for anyone looking to use Sony-E mount lenses on your Nikon Z camera. I have only tested with 2 lenses so far. Took one star off since I felt that 4 is a good rating for a photography unit that gets the job done with some caveats that I know will affect certain people. The adapter can be updated via USB-C (Does not include one, have to use USB-C to regular USB-A since it does not work with USB-C to USB-C, only with Windows as well (Tested on Macbook Pro M1)I like that the adapter itself is super slim and does not stick out so much unlike my usual Fringer EF-NZ or Nikon FTZ II which adds more frontal weight, especially on a tripod.Pros:- Slim, a little tough to remove from the lens but is still possible none less- USB-C firmware upgradable (via the back end lens cap, how convenient!)- AF/MF works amazing with my Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 and have tested with the 16-50mm PZ Sony E-lensCons:- Does not work with 'Pinpoint AF', only FTZ/Fringer adapter so far works so-so with Nikon AF-S/Canon EF lenses, not so much with any third-party/Macro/wide angle since they're usually best with a bigger AF mode box- Very rare issues with low light, a trade-off for any adapted lens from my experience- Every once in a while may lose connection but the camera body (Z6) very quickly fixes itself (Again, the same occurs for the other adapters as well, concluded that it's an adapter universal issue, no biggie)- The lens eject is in the FN2 button's way of my Z6, This may be a big con for people with bigger fingers, or in general, I learned to work around it.

This works great with every lens I have adapted. That includes the Tamron 35-150, Tamron 17-28, Tamron 28-200, Sony 28-60, and Sony E 15 f/1.4. I would give this a 5/5 if it wasn’t for one issue: it will drain the battery on the Z7 if left mounted when off.

I recently had the opportunity to get my hands on a Meike Sony E to Nikon Z Mount and a Meike a 7.5mm F2.5 crop sensor Fisheye lens. I didn’t have my hands on both for very long but I did get to click a few frames in the studio and I was impressed with the setup. So I grabbed a few quick shots in my back yard so I could share my thoughts with you.Meike ETZ Mount Adapter – This is an extremely slim adapter mount as you can see from the images attached, it weighs a mere few grams. It allows you to use Sony E Mount lenses on your Nikon Mirrorless (Z Mount). There are many of these out there for sale already, so what makes this different? Firstly, how slim it is, and more importantly, it supports Auto-Focus. That feels like a game changer. I was able to borrow a native E Mount Sony lens and it does indeed auto focus. Most of the options in camera menu are also available (i.e. vibration reduction, AF-SAF-CMF focus mode etc.) I have the most current firmware release on the camera, and the adapter was also already updated to the current version, I suggest yours are updated too if you have any issues. There is a USB-C jack on the side of the cover. A clever design to keep the mount slim. Focus it pretty fast and accurate with my testing in the studio, there were just a couple of misses, but that is because of the ambient light and that the model’s eye were hidden behind a mask. I like this mount, and love how it will open up the possibility of being able to buy Sony lenses or Nikon lenses for use with my camera interchangeably.Meike 7.5mm Fisheye lens – After playing with the fully automatic Sony Lens, I used a manual focus lens fish eye from the same brand to continue my testing of the adapter, so I figured I would add a short review of it too. This is a very compact lens, and very light. It feels well made and the lens is multi coated as seen in the images attached. Since it is a manual lens, it does have an aperture ring to stop it down manually, the focus ring is smooth also. My camera did not detect this was a crop lens, likely due to the adapter, so I manually changed the settings. In Full frame you can see the hood in the images, which makes for a cool circular framed image, but in Crop mode, it is not visible at all. Overall the colors I got from this lens were good and they do not need me to change my workflow, it is also sharp where focused in F2.8 with the edges getting softer, as expected in a lens of this focal length. I think I can get some interesting compositions with a lens like this, I am now looking to possibly get one for my camera.

I picked up a Laowa 10mm f4 Cookie Lens for less than this mount cost and so glad I did.Tight but perfect fit and it’s given my Nikon z50 a new lens!
