Débutante à l’aquarelle, j’ai arrêté mon choix sur la boîte de 48 couleurs après avoir visionné des vidéos sur YouTube. Choix que je ne regrette pas.J’ai d’abord été impressionnée par le poids de la boîte. Elle est belle et semble très solide. Une qualité que l’on voit rarement dans un set à un prix aussi raisonnable. J’ai tout de suite fait un essai avec la grille fournie (papier aquarelle) et j’ai adoré le choix des couleurs. Elles sont bien pigmentées, d’une qualité tout-à-fait honorable pour les débutants ou même moins débutants. Les couleurs peuvent être organisées selon ses goûts et c’est ce que j’ai déjà fait avec le Harvest Gold et le Burnt Sienna que j’ai mis à côté des Ochres. Ça sera l’occasion de refaire un autre swatch en chargeant moins le pinceau. Je ne suis pas sûre d'utiliser les couleurs Macarons mais pourquoi pas. Un pinceau de qualité et un crayon à papier sont fournis ainsi qu’une petite éponge et une gomme. Le seul point négatif est que la palette détachable qui est sous le couvercle est difficile à retirer. Pour le reste, je ne vois que du positif. De la conception de la boîte (comparable à celles que l’on peut trouver sur Etsy à des prix très élevés) à la qualité des godets, Meeden a réussi le combo parfait.

I bought this very affordable little gem of a watercolor palette to house all the colors in my tube paints and not for use with the built in paints.You have to use a lot of patience and a fair amount of rubbing alcohol to remove the cakes and then you have to remove the glue the paint cakes are fixated with in the bottom of the pans afterwards. It is NOT recommended to try this unless you have the tools, time and patience. (Or stubbornness).The pans themselves have small bumps on the narrow ends, to click in place in the holders for a secured fit in the sixpacks. Thus, you can't use regular pans, if you want to utilize the features of the case itself, unless you use double adhesive tape.I have a fair amount of paint in tubes, and I wanted something compact with built-in flexibility and versatility when in use + future space. With this palette, I am fully satisfied! The nifty sixpack feature for the pan organization allows you to remove or re-arrange paints while painting plein air or at home. It makes this product an optimal companion for outdoor and indoor painting.The 96 pans this case holds + in a price range such as this, makes for a very satisfying purchase indeed!What else to know or be aware of?The box has 2-3 sponges pre-installed, which is perfect, either for when you want to add more colors to your box, OR take it out for plein air/painting in limited surroundings where a water container is difficult to use (= use the sponges to clean the brush)After I filled the case with my paints and they had dried, there has been no spills keeping them downward when the lid closes. Also, the pre-installed mixing palette DOES take up leftover colors, but can easily be cleaned with dishwashing soap.All in all, a REALLY great option for us weirdos out there...

I've loved their pallets. Then I tried their paints and was impressed. Now combining the two, I absolutely love! They came with one of their brushes, so now I have another Meeden product to buy.
