I ordered this tap handle to replace the hot one on our Victorian style mixer tap as the middle was missing from it. Unfortunately the top bit of the tap which you have to unscrew to get to the fixing screw would not undo, my husband tried everything including putting it in the vice but it wouldn’t budge, and the tap handle was all scratched. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend buying this tap handle, the quality and appearance look okey good but it is totally useless if you can’t use it. Very disappointed.

This arrived in a simple plastic bag. On opening, it feels like a solid-made item. However, that is where the plusses end as try as might I could not get the top button vanity fitting off.This has to be a factory's fault as they should not be like that at all. I've tried pliers and even warming the tap handle in boiling water but that screw thread is like it's welded on!So that's it really as its useless because you cannot get to the innards and its fixing screw unless of course, you are prepared to break the vanity the fixing button, but if you do that then you will ruin the tap handles overall look anyway.So this is a total fail.

I gave up trying to unscrew the vanity fitting to get at the concealed screw head. In the end it was to damaged and looked bad.
