Not used it yet but the feeling of quality definitely trumps my older Makita gear

ERGONOMICSIt may look like a drill but is actually at more of an angle, though having a huge stack height (ie your hand end up circa 15cm above the disc surface) there is a lot more leverage for the disc when it bites so it is much harder to control than a right angle die grinder or angle grinder style polisher. This is frustrating as unlike the 12V mini grinders, this has plenty of torque, you just can't dig into it and you definitely need to use both hands.SPEED9500 speed in gear 2 seems low for grinding given the 50mm disc size. This is the speed of an angle grinder for a 125mm disc with much higher surface speed, for grinding a 50mm disc would usually run nicely on a die grinder at 15-25,000rpm and buffing at 10-15k.BACKING PADSIt comes with 50mm (2") roloc and velcro backing pads, but the thread is a very uncommon 5/16 x 24UNF. This means it seems to be impossible to get any other backing plates, I wanted a soft velcro and 75mm roloc for example (which might also help counter the low rpms for grinding)As Makita have seemingly found the same issue, the roloc that comes with has a 5/16 to 1/4 male to male coupler. This does mean you can use pretty much any die grinder style backing pad which usually have 1/4 thread. On the flip side, because they are both standard right hand thread, you really need to Loctite or superglue this into the backing pad otherwise it gets left in the chuck every time you go to change plates.... so then you need to find a source of 5/16 adapters.It may be good if you application is buffing or polishing in slightly hard to access areas, but I was hoping it would be an all round right angle die grinder replacement.CONCLUSIONSo, all in all, a bit compromised and frustrating as an all round machine given the price. For a specialist application it is undoubtedly a quality machine made in Japan.

Normally makita is good, but now it turn about 30 minutes with Makita original battery, for further use it didn’t turn anymore

L'oggetto di per sè è molto buono, leggero, molto più di un trapano makita a batterie, la regolazione della velocità avviene solo in base alla sensibilità della vostra mano, diversi utensili makita hanno invece una rotellina da 1 a 6 ad esempio dove impostano il numero di giri, ad esempio 1000 -2000 -3000 ecc ecc questo arriva al massimo a 9500 giri che sono fin troppi se state lucidando i fari di una macchina perchè a 9500 giri rischiate di scaldare cosi tanto la plastica da fonderla....sarebbe stato opportuno un regolatore numerico di velocità e non sono a sensibilità personale in base a quanto "pigiate" perchè dopo un pò stanca.Per il resto è un pò caro ma lo consiglio, la batteria 18v 4.0 dura un infinità dura molto di più che col trapano, siccome è leggero non ci si stanca a tenerlo in mano come accade col trapano, comoda anche l'impugnatura laterale svitabile per esser montata sia a destra che sinistra, lo consiglio, se avesse il regolatore numerico sarebbe da 5 stelle anche se è un pò caro.
