I like this prox. It looks well made and it functions as it should. I certainly like the sensitivity adjustment on the back of this. There is a good bit of range and with the adjustment, you can help prevent false triggers.The capacitive prox will pick up materials that are not attracted to a magnet. So if the item you need to monitor is a fluid or nylon...this may be what you are looking for.From past experiences, I can say that if you are able to have this prox monitor a non-metallic object, this prox will likely last much longer. It seems to never fail that one or the other will work lose and they will eventually rub against each other. Once that happens, metal rubbing against the plastic end of a prox will short out the prox before too long. But a softer item like nylon won't do nearly as much damage and can likely be noticed before causing the prox to fail.I like this and would recommend it to anyone needing a proximity.

Electronically this works as expected, as it should. The M12x1 housing is properly sized, and the supplied nuts fit, turn and tighten well. There is no "buckle washer, however. Both nuts are serrated, like the underside of a flange bolt, on one side. The red indicator light works well, and the potentiometer adjustment provides a good range for fine tuning. Unfortunately, for me, the 1-2mm detection range didn't work out. I'm getting another sensor, same seller, with a wider range
