At my place of work, everyone uses Silverstreak brand pencils for writing on metal. My employer supplies the "silver" colored led for those pencils. The problem is those pencils are garbage. They're a soft plastic that somehow splits very easily and the metal collar near the tip comes detached from the plastic. So when you push the button, the tip extends out the end of the pencil with that collar still tightly wrapped around it, and the tip will not release the lead without fiddling with it.So I had the idea to purchase a nice mechanical pencil and just use that with the silverstreak lead. I measured the silverstreak lead diameter at 2.3mm and ordered the closest size in a mechanical pencil at 2mm.Well that pencil would not accept the Silverstreak lead. The hole was too smallTurns out 2.3mm is an oddball size, which is probably intentional. So i came across this 2.5mm pencil and gave that a shot. It took a couple weeks to arrive from czeckoslovakia, but it was worth the wait. This pencil handles the silverstreak lead and is a nice sturdy pencil. The button on the end unscrew and has a sharpener built into it.Silverstreak, if you're reading this, switch to this pencil. Your pencil sucks

Critérium extrêmement polyvalent et multi-usageBien que vendu pour du 2.5mm, il accepte de tout.Les mines allant du 2mm (toutes marques) au 3.15 mm assez spécifique de Faber CastellMais aussi les gommes au diamètre 2.3mm ou 2.5mm, l'avantage est que la gomme est fixe et ne tourne pas quand on l'utilise.Par contre, il est lourd 19g avec la mine fournie, mes autres critérium 2mm font ~10g (avec mine) ou 13g (pour un 3.15mm). Mais quand on le démonte on comprend pourquoi, le mécanisme est en métal et de qualité.

Non ha la mina da 2,5. Almeno non ce l'ha quella che è stata inviata a me. Non so se esista una portamine di questa marca che è compatibile con mine da 2,5 mm. Inoltre, la mina montata risulta essere molto dura e quindi per me, che non la uso per disegno tecnico, spiacevole.
