Ice Station

I really enjoyed reading "Ice Station" - it was a blast! The over-the-top action is what made it so fun. Shane Schofield, the main character, is this tough, good-looking Marine with some scars that make him even cooler. His team respects him because he's not just tough, but also a decent guy.Even with all the crazy action going on, I was impressed that the author, Reilly, still managed to make Schofield feel like a real person. I found myself really feeling for him with all the crazy stuff he had to deal with, even though I knew he'd make it through since he's the hero of the series.But man, the action in this book is what really got me. It's non-stop and completely insane - makes the Mission Impossible movies look tame in comparison! The book's pretty long, but it flies by because it's so fast-paced. Usually, I get bored with too many long action scenes, but not here. Reilly mixes it up enough to keep it interesting, and his writing style makes it easy to picture everything happening in your head, like you're watching a movie. ( A bit overkill on the action sequences )Overall, "Ice Station" was a really fun read that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. If you're into action-packed stories, you've got to check this one out!

Fast moving action packed my mind of book, great read could not put it down. I highly recommend reading it.

A very fast paced entertaining book which will keep you on the edge of your seat. With lots of action and death defying sequences it will keep you hooked to the book. Its literally unputdownable....

I would love to see this as a movie. It was non-stop action from beginning to end.

Attenzione!!!! Il libro è in inglese non in italiano come indicato!!!!!!!!!!!! ..va corretta l'indicazione della lingua....il fatto che anche nell'edizione italiana il titolo sia in inglese deve aver contribuito all'errore...

Non c’è dubbio che Matthew Reilly sappia come si scriva un action thriller di taglio cinematografico, senza fiato per il lettore, da leggersi senza curarsi di nient’altro di ciò che si ‘vede’ sulle pagine. Al diavolo tutto, per leggere questo libro ci vogliono bibitone & popcorn! E alla fine se ne esce con “E’ stato bello!”Unica pecca, capisco che qui sia una storia tosta con livelli di minaccia multipli, ma ad un certo punto, soprattutto sul finale, e basta allungare il brodo! Proprio c’erano delle pagine che non dovevano starci.

I ordered this book having listened to the CD before... I think it is fun and even though I am not a great fan of action, why not? The author is a great master of action and I find his style fascinating.
