I haven't used a seam guide before, so I thought this would be helpful.I'd ordered it but then realised I should probably have checked my sewing machine with an ordinary magnet first! (little tip for you) But luckily for me, this is ok for my machine - otherwise my sister would have permanently borrowed it for hers.It has a strong magnet covering nearly all the base, so it attaches well to my machine. There was what appeared to be a small chip out of the magnet at the side, however it doesn't affect the performance.The lip sticking out on the hinge will help stop fabric riding over the top of the guide as you sew, and the screw means you can adjust the height to suit the thickness of your fabric. I did notice that the screw has left a little mark in the metal underneath (see pic) but I suspect this was probably caused by me initially adjusting the screw without lifting the flap up first. This should just be cosmetic anyway, but again I'd recommend you lift the flap before adjusting the screw.Apparently there is the option to rotate it 180 degrees to use the reverse curved side (without the flap) as a curved seam guide - I haven't progressed onto this yet but it's on my list to try.Overall for the price I'm very happy with it and will probably buy another for my sister.

This is really well made, a strong magnet and sturdy. It does a good job as a guide for the edges / hems. I find this easier to handle then using tape on my sewing machine as a guide. It adjusts easily for different thickness of fabric and also has a curved guide (but I haven't used that).Would recommend.

The LAIBOREC Magnetic Seam Guide is a very useful sewing aid.It fixes by magnet to the metal plate where the needle goes through.The spring clip is adjustable for downforce.It helps you create folded seams without pinning and pressing first.Itt's a simple and effective accessory.Keep one by your machine and use it for simple seams.On some sewing jobs, like making curtains, it could save you hours.

Don't bother doesn't stick fast it moves and kinder gets in the way
