This tool is a real piece of junk. A blunt object with no hope of sharpening it into a workable tool.

Needed lots of grinding to create an angle that allows it to dig into your project but now that it is done it works well.

Bought this chisel just to practise my sharpening and it does not let me down. It arrived (eventually) with a 45 degree angle on it. Utterly useless without regrinding. For practise sharpening it is value for money. As a chisel it is utter rubbish like all "Faithfull" tools and chisels are. If you want a good V parting tool do not buy this rubbish.

When sharpened and polished this tool was effective. Had to change the bevel angle to a bout 30 degrees to suit my carving techniques.
