Tool did what it was built for. Save me time not to clear things out the way to remove the motor mount.

Used on driver side motor mount on a 2014 Mercedes ML350 RWD 3.5 L gas V6 from under the car with the 3/8" drive socket wrench; was useful to avoid dismounting engine control module. Used on passenger side from above barehanded (no socket wrench---no clearance for it with exhaust heat shield). Was able to swap out both motor mounts without removing exhaust by removing alternator and detaching AC compressor from block (but keeping hoses on).

I don't know if this has any application other than specifically for a Mercedes engine mount, but it does the job really well for that specific application. I never buy one-use tools like this, but in this case, I don't regret it. When breaking loose those top bolts, if you round one, it's going to be a real pain - so just pony up for this tool to make sure you can remove the top bolts with confidence. Then put it in the back of your wrench drawer where it will remain, forgotten, until 2054.

Tool works well and is well built. However, the top nut on the motor mount is a 16mm. I found that a 5/8” ratchet box wrench worked much better. Longer leverage and no need to remove the wrench to reposition for another turn.Addition: my cat is a 2004 E320 wagon and tool not necessary. However, replaced motor mounts in a 2014 E350 and thus tool was a life saver. Made ya he job much easier. Glad I bought it. Depending upon the year and make, this tool is needed.
