Handy for when not using a mic. Far the price it's well worth having one

Bought this for my Osmo Action 3 and it really helps with stopping wind noise, it's almost completely gone when using it. It is a bit awkward to put on the camera but it's worth getting one.

Not much difference in wind sound

Bought this as substitute option since I usually use an external mic for my Action 4, however having an external microphone isn't practical in the rain as the open USB-C port (and the external mic itself) isn't waterproof. This is a great solution for keeping the camera waterproof and vastly reducing wind noise. I have tested it between 25-30mph and at the same speed in the rain and it worked very well to record sound with only the occasional strong gust being picked up when in dry conditions. In wet conditions the foam will obviously retain water, it is ideal to squeeze drain it after each clip and it is possible to hear the rain hitting the camera regardless of using the windslayer or not.
