The enclosure works well so far. Install was easy, it's been running reliably for a month now, and speeds are good. I've run into two things that could be issues for some people1: the included power supply doesn't give enough power to spin up all 6 disks. From a cold start, I have to pull one disc out, let it power the rest up, then insert the 6th. Not that big of an issue for my usage, as I keep it on for the most part, but a minor annoyance.2: The fans are not particularly quiet. It's in a networking closet for me, so it's not an issue, but it may not be the best fit for a desk in a workspace.

I've been testing this enclosure for over a week now with TrueNAS Community Edition. Here is some information you might be looking for (I know I was). The enclosure seems to support full SMART capabilities, so if you are planning on setting up a ZFS based pool, it's the right item. It's also pretty silent, despite what some other people say. You plug it in and it just works. Keeps HDD temperature in range max 30C. So far I've been testing it with 2x spinning HDD (1TB each) in mirror configuration. When I move to my full 6x HDD zraid2 I will update the post with speed and more details if necessary.

Its good for the price. Do note - I could not get this to work at all UNTIL - I swapped the host and the downstream Daisy Chain port. Then it was just fine. Take note.Post review note: Company followed up with me on issue. Impressive…

I got this to hook up to a raspberry pi 4 that I have been using to store backups. Being able to daisy-chain enclosures is cool and what initially draw me to this enclosure.Unfortunately, it is going back. Anytime I try to setup a drive, I get errors. I thought maybe it was due to insufficient power because I was running the pi off of a poe+ hat, but after swapping out for a 20W power adapter, and various other troubleshooting steps, I've decided to return it. I suspect it is a lack of proper UASP support, but I'm not going to spend any more time trying to enable quirks mode because I would still be returning it if that was required.Besides the daisy-chaining featuer, I got this because it was cheap (relatively speaking). The build quality reflects that. It seems to work great for some people. It may be a raspberry pi thing. I have had a four bay Mediasonic USB 3.2 enclosure for several years that was been working flawlessly, though, so I'm going to get their larger eight bay model and return this one.

Amazing experience so far after 24 hours loading 5 drives and three were inserted hot so that works. No interest in Raid so other than that a fraction of the price of what it costs for the same thing with another brand. I will likely buy a second same size as they are daisy chain capability. Very very happy with this and with highly recommend it to everybody else That needs extra storage.
