I was really surprised with the quality of this bag and it's tardis like interior. Overall - a win!Aesthetics: It's not my style, to be honest, but because its nicely simple and looks decent quality, it kind of blends into any style. I felt comfortable walking in to high end spaces, but certainly not conspicuous on the streets.Function: Really excellent. I hate an open top bucket bag because your items get lost and muddled, but the fully opening flip back zipper this bag makes it function like a suitcase when packing/unpacking, but with easy access on the go via the top. The little zip pockets on the front and back were perfect for passports and quick access items. I love that the roll top could be extended for a fuller bag on the return journey. I'm not sure if it's because of the zipper back opening, but it's like a tardis. Ryanair compliant, but you could pack for a long weekend no problem - a week if you're a light packer like me.Comfort: the straps are cushioned without that hiking look - love. And the bag sits in the right place on my back. I have a bad back but was happy to carry this.

Unlike almost all the other reviews, I bought this myself, choosing to spend just a little bit more than some of the million options on Amazon for a Ryanair cabin bag, and compared to what my friends bought - it was definitely worth it.It’s built out of a pretty thick fabric, that as I (unintentionally) learned is fairly water resistant, keeping all my stuff dry when stood in a thunderstorm waiting for an italian rail replacement busIt’s got some nice packing straps to keep everything contained and to keep the shape of the bag - which actually fit loads in for my 4 day trip, with some useful pockets on the inside for sunglasses, chargers etcI flew with Ryanair, on the most basic under seat bag fare with no problem whatsoever. I double checked it with their frame at the airport (didn’t get a photo sorry!) but it filled it perfectly (importantly provided the top is flat & hooked in before you pack it) and fit under the seat very wellSeparately to that trip, I also used the bag when carrying my 14” laptop (inside a thick Thule protective case) and this fit nicely into the laptop pocketSo plenty of upsides, just a couple downsides:- It’s not the comfiest over long distances, there’s not a huge amount of padding on the straps, especially if it’s heavy / with a laptop in, and it’s not breathable on the surface against your back which can get a little annoying- If you leave the zip at the top and it’s full / heavy, it tends to unzip itself when holding it by the straps (easily fixed by just moving both zippers to the side or bottom though)But other than those minor points I was very happy with it, served me well, and so much cheaper than paying to bring a carryon bagSo all in all would highly recommend

I really liked the backpack. The quality is great and the tging that it fits to hand baggage allowance makes it so helpful in saving some money on the travels. At the same time I really liked that it could be expanded at the top so you always can have extra

I used this backpack on my last trip with Ryan air. I already tested the luggage measurements at the airport and it fits even though I packed it completely full. You just have to be aware that you cannot pack the top full, you should roll it up to be compatible with the measurements. But that’s not in issue as I find it very convenient to put my jacket inside after boarding. This avoids my jacket getting lost. Also the stitching seems very durable on the outside. All in all it’s a great backpack for a great price and I can finally fit everything I need into this for 4 days without having to pay extra luggage fees.

I like that it opens as a suitcase but also has an opening on the top in case you want to put in a sweater etc.Perfect for budget flights. It is very sturdy. Rhe only thing that could be inproved is better bands, with a front strap.
