Product looks fine and feels sturdy when assembled. I'm confident it'll hold up better than the plastic base it's replacing. As a bonus, the hex head bolts it came with already had loctite applied.

I had to replace the base on my old home office task chair when one of the spokes on the original lousy composite plastic/fiberglass (??) base cracked & broke while I was sitting on the chair. Nearly had a bad fall had I not caught myself. I was surprised it was not more durable. I started looking for a new chair but I have limited size choice & a comparable new multi-adjustable task chair would cost over $200 to at least $400. Amazon is always a great place to look for replacement parts. Voila I found a heavy duty steel base for about $46. Unfortunately I did not think about the diameter of the base in relation to my home office space. While the new base was really good, it ended up being too wide and I found the spokes getting caught up in the narrow office space. I finally decided to measure and go back for a search the other day. I discovered the steel base I got in Dec. is close to 28" wide which extended out too far under the chair. I am so glad I found this 24" 60cm heavy duty steel composite base. It actually has a higher weight capacity than the wider first one I got in Dec. Although it was a nuisance to take the back off the chair, remove the base & rubber wheels & put the new base together, when I was done, I was so glad I did it. Sadly, $46. down the drain since I could not return or sell the base I bought in Dec., but now the new 24" base is not getting caught on or bumping into things like the 28" one did. This is really a great replacement base. I even bought slipcovers on Amazon & the chair looks & feels like new!

De momento se ven muy sólidas y estables. El montaje es sencillo

To bad it dd not fit my chair. It is metal instead of plastic, very well made. If it had fit I would have given it a 5. I will be returning it via UPS.
