This PU-6 style stainless steel bodied push lock fitting arrived in a nice looking branded cardboard and plastic packaging. Though there is a lot of wasted space in the package, and you could fit a dozen or more in there with room to spare. I guess they’re just using the same size packaging regardless of the fitting, which feels a bit wasteful, but it did the job.It arrived in perfect condition and everything works as it should, each of the openings take a length of 6mm PTFE tube without issue, the tube presses into position firmly and the metal teeth prevent it from backing out. Each opening also has a green o-ring inside that ensures you’ve got an airtight connection and as long as your tube is cut to a reasonably straight angle you’ll get reliable and repeatable connections with these fittings. If you want to remove a tube you just need to press down the metal ring that extends out from each opening and that’ll retract the metal teeth and allow you to back the tube out of the fitting without damage.At the end of the day these TAILONZ stainless steel fittings are about a third or quarter of the price of the big-name ones from dedicated pneumatic component suppliers but £8.99 each still feels a bit pricey to me as they’re just generic ones put into a fancy branded packaging.They feel especially expensive when you realise you can grab ten of these exact fittings direct from China for £12-£13 after shipping and VAT is added, so about £1.30 each. They’re also available individually at a bit of extra expense, generally around £2.10 individually, but that’s still a quarter of the cost of a single PU-6 fitting from TAILONZ.Other than the price I can't fault them, they’re good quality fittings that fit snugly onto 6mm PTFE tubing, and they’ll work great for most people’s needs. If you’re happy to pay the markup and need some PU-6 style fittings made from stainless steel on short notice these are a viable option worth considering.
