I moved around my home studio setup and these adapters made all the difference when connecting my little monitors to the mixer. Little life-savers.

These two adaptors are good quality. They're proper metal, sturdy and not the cheap plastic ones that you sometimes get.They're properly wired with pins 1, 3 and the casing all connected to the outside of the jack connector. Pin 2 of the XLR is connected to the jack plug tip. After checking this with a multi-meter I tested these by connecting an audio source to my mixer and they worked perfectly.However, when opening I found that the wires used are very thin indeed. So for signal applications this is all fine. However, occasionally you find XLR cables used for speaker wiring (with suitably thick cabling from the XLR connectors). This may not be best practice and it's not seen so much these days, but it used to be more common. In that case these adaptors are not going to be suitable as they probably won't carry the current required. So I'm giving this review the benefit of the doubt as the description doesn't mention that application - but you have been warned!

These XLR to 6.35mm mono jacks work as described and seem to be reasonable quality. They've worked fine for my application, so I'm happy with them.
